Make Your Own Suspension Trainer

I’ve written previously about suspension trainer benefits and focused primarily on the popular TRX Suspension Training system. However, I came across a very cool video by Scott Sonnon of Tacfit Commando who demonstrates how to make your own suspension trainer out of martial art belts or a sturdy piece of rope. Why martial art belts or rope?

Scott Sonnon trains people in tactical fitness. There are times when he has to improvise with what he has in order to train the people he’s with. In his case, he travels with gear such as martial art belts and rope.

Can Interval Training Be Done Every Day?

I am a huge fan of interval training. So much so that I’ve pretty much abandoned the long cardio sessions I was accustomed to doing. However, I began to wonder how much interval training should be done during the week as well as how long the sessions should be. Fortunately, I found the answers from Craig Ballantyne’s blog, the creator of Turbulence Training.

What are Intervals?

Interval workouts are various exercises that are done back-to-back, either timed or for a number of repitions. You can use only your body weight or a combination of free weights.
