8 Glasses of water a day: An advertising scam?
When it comes to drinking water, I say bottom’s up!Is it true that you should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day? Absolutely (if not more). that health advice is thoroughly debunked nonsense and is propagated by bottled water companies out to make a profit. This statement may be partially true, but that does not make the 8 glasses a day theory false.
Experts say that drinking too much water can cause hyponatremia (low sodium levels in the blood) and expose people to pollutants. (Sounds serious.) The only issue I see with drinking too much water is: bloat. (Not so serious.)
The fact is: its important to stay hydrated and flush out toxins by drinking enough H2O. 6 to 8 glasses a day is a good average to maintain, plus or minus a few depending on your diet. You also have to take size into consideration. A water bottle usually equals 2 to 3 glasses. So, you would only need to drink about 3 water bottles throughout one day.
When I say everything in moderation that also includes water. But, I dont think youll overdose if you exceed 8 glasses. Keep drinking.
